Daring Bakers Yule Log

This month's challenge is brought to us by the adventurous Hilda from Saffron and Blueberry and Marion from Il en Faut Peu Pour Etre Heureux.
They have chosen a French Yule Log by Flore from Florilege Gourmand.

Last year I whipped up a yule log, very different from this one! I am still in the process of making this log, as my poor husband and I are recovering from the flu. I should be completed by tomorrow and will post pictures and taste tests!
